Asian Birds

Asia is the largest continent in the world located primarily in the Eastern and Northern hemispheres and covering 8.6% of the Earth’s total surface area. It has an abundant variety of bird life which survive on different biome zones from Arctic tundra to tropical rainforests with a great diversity of climates and habitats.

Asia has some of the highest mountain ranges on our planet incorporating much wildlife and reflecting an amazing foray of bird life. With around 2,800 species of birds, no one can doubt that perhaps Asia has the largest bird population in the world.

However, not all these birds thrive, some located in more exposed habitats are under threat of extinction due to human encroachment due to the growth in the timber industry and other commodities.
