Highlights From Our Seven-Letter Animals
Several of these animals are among the most iconic in the world. The Cheetah holds the title as the fastest land animal, capable of reaching 110 km/h in short bursts. The Gorilla is the largest living primate and one of our closest relatives. The Giraffe, standing up to 19 feet tall, is the tallest animal on Earth.
In the oceans, the Dolphin is celebrated for its intelligence and social behaviour, while the Penguin has adapted to thrive in some of the harshest environments on the planet. On land, the Meerkat lives in complex social groups in the deserts of southern Africa.
Some lesser-known seven-letter animals include the Gharial, a critically endangered crocodilian with a distinctive narrow snout, and the Axolotl, a remarkable amphibian that can regenerate lost limbs.
