Zamboanga Bulbul
This bird is a species of Ixos, but it might belong in the genus Hypsipetes if it is kept separate from Ixos. It might be related to the Philippine Bulbul, which is related to the Black Bulbul, the type species of Hypsipetes.
Zapata Rail
Fermn Zanón Cervera, a Spanish zoologist, found it in the Zapata Swamp in Cuba in 1927. The Zapata Wren is another bird that can only be found in the swamp. It shares its name with the Zapata Sparrow. The Zapata Rail is on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species because it is losing its habitat, has a small population, and is being eaten by introduced mammals and catfish.
